Seventeen years delivering EHS systems for Australia's largest miners, utilities, retailers and government agencies. Now building AI for the workflows where the data can't leave the country.
Point of view
AI should draft, never decide.
The model prepares summaries, correspondence and plans. A person approves every action. Nothing sends itself.
Data sovereignty is a hard requirement.
Onshore architecture in AWS Sydney, region-pinned. Prompts are not stored and not used for training. Governance aligned to NIST AI RMF.
Dashboards should answer real questions.
Not the metrics that are easy to count - the questions leaders actually ask. Evidence over decoration.
What I do
EHS systems delivery
Full-lifecycle implementation of the Cintellate, SAI360 and Evotix e360 platform: requirements workshops, configuration, custom workflows, integrations, data migration, Pentaho dashboards and reports, training and go-live support. On this platform lineage since 2008, including twelve years leading implementations for the software vendor, before going independent in 2025.
AI assistants for regulated workflows
Draft-only AI for case management, document intake, correspondence drafting and reconciliation support. An approval queue on everything - no auto-send, no decisions delegated to the model. Built onshore for workflows where sensitive data rules out off-the-shelf AI tools.
Selected work
Injury analytics for an ASX-listed mining services contractor - current
Dashboards for injury analysis, bodily location trends, and environment and sustainability reporting, built inside the client's HSE platform for a workforce of around 10,000. Significant incident alerts and a lessons-learned workflow configured so critical events reach the right people fast.
Enterprise EHS platform delivery, 2008 to now
Full-lifecycle implementations for Australia's largest miners, utilities, retailers and government agencies - requirements workshops, configuration, data migration, custom reporting and training.
AI assistant for injury case management - in scoping
A draft-only AI to take the paperwork out of workers-compensation case management - summaries, correspondence drafts, return-to-work plans, deadline tracking - with a human approval queue on every action and all data kept onshore in Australia.
From the Southern Forests
I work from a small farm. It changed how I work.
Cattle, bees, timber - in WA's Southern Forests, a few hours from Perth. Moving here made the work deliberate: remote-first, outcomes over hours, travel to site when the work needs it.
Before this: computer and mathematical sciences at UWA, a graduate software engineering start at Fujitsu, a year monitoring core banking systems in London, and a food franchise in my twenties turning over more than $1m a year with 40 staff. Running my own business isn't new.
If your data can't leave the country, we should talk.
